Not compararable to a real mezzé experience in Lebanon, where you can gain up to two kilos, but quite fair for Paris.

The 15e is very residential, but has some nice (altough not "haute cuisine") restaurants. I love la Cave de l'Os à Moelle, it is a "table d'hôtes" and it has a great atmosphere! Le Dirigeable, rue d'Alleray is an interesting bistro/gastro. Chen, rue du Théâtre, was one of the best (maybe the best/along with Vong in Les Halles) Chinese restaurants in Paris, but I don't know how it evolved since the death of its owner/founder.

I haven't been to Banyan in Paris (I think it was started by the same guy who made Asian and Blue Elephant), but tried Banyan in Lille, it is indeed a great Thai¨restaurant. There is another good Thaï restaurant in the 15e: Erawan (rue de la Fédération). Baan Boran, rue Montpensier, behind the Palais Royal, is also nice.

And finally, "Tanh Dinh (rue de Verneuil), is a very classy and "exclusive" vietnamese restaurant. Its owner, Mister Robert Vifian is so old, so old fashionned: a real and rare pleasure. Their food is great too!

Re: Dîner libanais chez Al Karam

I haven't been in Al Karam, but i love eating out in 15 arrendissement in general. Banyan (24, pl Etienne Pernet)is claimed "the best Thai in Paris" by Zagat and it is quite authentic. Also there is one Vietnamese which is excellent - Kim Anh (51, av Emile Zola).

Re: Dîner libanais chez Al Karam

merci merci...
